The last two days have been pretty exciting for little Thom and me. Yesterday we went to the demo of Kindermusik and had a great time. Thomsen’s action during the hello song was rocking, and I think he enjoyed it. He didn’t really participate in most of the activities because this class was designed for families not just babies. Miss Shawna invited us to sit in during one of her classes on Monday that is specifically for babies 0 to 18 months. Hopefully, Thom will get to do more then. Errol says he can go on Monday too. Something tells me dads are a rarity at Kindermusik. All the babies will be jealous of Thomsen and his male role model.
This morning we drove to South Pointe’s Barnes and Noble for Halloween-themed storytime. We didn’t make it last Friday because Thom didn’t have the best night, and we both needed sleep. Today’s storytime was a success, and it was fun to see the toddlers in their Halloween costumes. Unfortunately, Thomsen slept through our entire visit to B&N, but Errol and I had a good time. There is something about the smell of a Barnes and Noble that puts me at ease. Errol talks about working there again, and I’m looking forward to taking Thomsen to visit Daddy during his break. I also really miss having the discount. I sort of got used to automatically subtracting 30% off the list price when calculating how much I would be spending. Not having 50% off at the cafe is also very sad, but not having the discount makes it easier to resist the temptation of buying delicious treats like pumpkin cheesecake.
I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures that Errol posted. Now that he figured it out, he can teach me. Stay tuned.
