A Very Good Morning

We have been taking Thom to First Plymouth since he was a wee one, and we have really enjoyed this part of our routine. However, the last few months have not been as enjoyable. Thomsen can’t last the whole service without fussing to explore on his own. After our not so successful trips to Child Watch at the Y, we were not very excited to try the church nursery. Today we took the plunge. Thomsen went to the toddler room and did great! We spent most of the service looking down at the pager expecting it to go off any second, but it didn’t! Thom, apparently, had a breakdown half-way though, but he pulled through with the help of trucks and puzzles. It was fun going down there and seeing other kids Thom’s age. They were all so adorable and well-dressed! Thomsen’s absence made the service so much more relaxing. Errol and I get so few opportunities to be alone, and today almost felt like a date. Almost…

Caffe Italia

Caffe Italia is just so perfect. We had lunch there today, and I love everything about this place. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. Another positive: we took Buttless here last winter and now it reminds me of her. If Thomsen was a soap opera toddler and was constantly sleeping, I would go to Caffe Italia every day and learn to like coffee.
