Errol and I are on the programming committee for Thomsen’s nursery school. Today was the grand event, THE HARVEST FAIR! We were in charge of the bake sale, and I feel really good about how it went, and I’m so glad it’s over. It is very refreshing to have all of our co-op work hours done this early in the school year. Thom was so good all day and had a lot of fun (and sweets).
We had a bit of a rough start trick-or-treating tonight. The first house we went to had a man dressed up in a frog costume. Thomsen was terrified and started to cry. I felt really bad for the guy because he was just trying to be festive, but Thom definitely did not appreciate his efforts. We spent the next half an hour just walking around Butler hoping that T would want to try again. He finally snapped out of it and started to knock on doors again (as long as the house didn’t have a scary jack-o-lantern). Now he keeps asking why he didn’t like the first house… Hope everyone had a good holiday too!
