I told Abby today that the experience was very similar to Thomsen’s first haircut. I held him the whole time, and there were some tears. However, we don’t have to go back for six more months, and he had no cavities and a great-looking mouth. Yay!

Last week Thom, Lois, and I came across this toy car on the curb waiting for the garbage pick-up. Sure, it has a huge crack in the roof and the front wheels are messed up (Errol thinks a real car hit it), but Thom was in love nonetheless. I drug that thing the half mile back to our house (while pushing the stroller!), but it has been so worth it. Thomsen loves to sit in the car and just drive. There is always a running commentary and frequent stops on his road trips. Some of my favorites that I’ve overheard have been Runza, the letter store, the W store–my favorite letter store, and his birthday party. It has been a rainy few days, and Thom was aching to get back in the drivers’ seat. So much so, that he was willing to sit in a wet seat.
